Frequently Asked Questions About Language Removal
1. How does language removal work?
Language Removal is a completely non-invasive procedure. It is painless and fairly easy, and uses the same basic techniques that Raymond Chronic used in his turn of the century Nation of Island laboratory. For obvious reasons, we cannot discuss the specific details of that process.
2. What are the benefits of language removal?
Language Removal is useful in many ways. One of the most basic is as a kind of portrait of certain linguistic habits. Most of our clients find that the linguistic portrait that emerges after language removal is a profound portrait of the person involved. Raymond Chronic himself was interested in the ways that this so-called "Static Language Portrait" functioned in a way that was beyond and perhaps deeper than language. (for more on this, click here.) To hear samples of Static language portraits of many great historical figures, please visit our archive.
The Static language portrait is useful as a portrait of a loved one, a keepsake or memento to remember others or be remembered by. Many of our clients are recent graduates, newlyweds, or new parents seeking to document a stage in vocal development. Others are interested in using the latest technology to create a historical record of themselves or loved ones. But the Static language portrait has uses which go further than conventional portraiture: it's use in security, surveillance and identity verification is unparallelled. 6. I've never heard of language removal services. How long have you been around?
Language Removal Services was founded jin 1998, to provide a point of entry for the general public to the somewhat arcane field of language removal. The history the field of language removal is, by contrast, a rich and storied one, which began in Raymond Chronic's turn of the century laboratory. For more history, please click here.
All of the language removal procedures that we offer to the general public are non-invasive, fully tested and 100% safe. The fact that they are non-invasive guarantees that they are also reversable. In fact, there is nothing to reverse, because they do not actually affect the physical speech apparatus, but rather create a sort of idealized imprint of that apparatus, which becomes a model for further research and development and may at some point become the basis for an Ecstatic language culture.
